MINNEAPOLIS PLUNGE

The Minneapolis Plunge has raised over $16,968,036 in its 18-year history. In 2024, 2459 Plungers raised $1,015,501!

Join thousands of brave Plungers for a day of frozen fun! The Minneapolis Plunge has fun for the whole family. Enjoy food trucks, live music, smore’s stations, the Surly Beer Hall and of course, watching the Polar Plunge.

FROZEN 5K

You can also register for the Frozen 5K or Dash & Splash—run an officially-timed 5K race and then take the chilly Plunge into Lake Nokomis! If you are planning to Dash & Splash, you must raise at least $115 total.

TIMESLOTS

Plunge timeslots open approximately three days before the in-person Plunge date. Any teams/individual participants not signed up by noon on the Friday before the Plunge will be automatically assigned a timeslot.

PARKING + SHUTTLES

Note: Lake Nokomis Parkway will be closed entirely around the lake from 7:45-9 AM on Saturday, March 1, for the Frozen 5K. Please plan accordingly.

Parking near the Plunge site is extremely limited, so we highly recommend taking advantage of our Minneapolis Plunge shuttle!
– Shuttle stops are located around Lake Nokomis and at the Mall of America.
– Shuttles are FREE and run approximately every 15 minutes.

Saturday, March 1: 9 AM-4 PM

Frozen 5K shuttles
There will be 1 shuttle departing the Mall of America at 7 AM on Saturday, March 1, for Frozen 5K participants. There will also be buses looping around Lake Nokomis from 7-7:45 AM on Saturday, March 1, for Frozen 5K participants who park around the lake.

Ride share zone
There is a designated ride share zone for those who wish to utilize Lyft, Uber or other ride sharing apps. It will be located in the “boat launch area” just south of Lake Nokomis Park. The space cannot accommodate waiting cars, so please set accurate pick-up times and be ready to go when your ride arrives.
